Swanson's scoring leads Grant to another victory
Another big game for Jamie Swanson, another big-margin win for Grant's girls basketball team.
Swanson equaled her season high with 21 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 60-42 victory over host North Chicago on Saturday.
The game was a makeup of last Tuesday's postponement due to the weather.
Grant -- which was coming off a blowout win of Elgin in which Swanson scored 20 points -- improved to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in the North Suburban Prairie Division.
Heather Ruetsche added 16 points for the Bulldogs and Bailey Wagner had 9.
North Chicago was led in scoring by Tatiana Webb's 12 points.
BG 71, Stevenson 46: In a Sweet 16 tournament game, the Bison led 20-12 after one quarter and 40-23 at halftime.
Loyola-bound Ellen Ayoub and Northwestern-bound Maggie Mocchi scored 20 and 19 points, respectively, for Buffalo Grove.
Stevenson (4-9) received 8 points apiece from Claire Moller and Kayla Fisher. Freshmen Michelle O'Brien and Anna Morrissey chipped in 7 and 6 points, respectively. Caitlin Morrissey also scored 6.
The Patriots have lost three in a row and seven of their last eight.
Warren 61, Libertyville 43: Sarah Boothe scored 24 points for the Blue Devils in the North Suburban Lake Division game.
Lory Shaw added a career-high 19 for Warren (11-0, 5-0). The Blue Devils also got 9 points from Alex Booker.
Dana Eriksen sank four 3-pointers for a team-high 12 points for Libertyville (6-6, 1-3).
