Developer to cut home price by $100,000 this weekend

For one weekend only, today and Sunday, Gladstone Homes is reducing the price on new construction at Chatham Square in Plainfield by at least $100,000. Families can choose from among all of Gladstone's single-family plans.

General Sales Manager Katie Minott said, "The issue for many families is they simply cannot get the asking price needed to turn around and build the new home they've always wanted.

"This event offers the one chance to build that home, despite below-market offers they may be receiving as sellers."

Because Gladstone's price reduction is on new construction starts, rather than inventory homes, closings will not occur until construction is completed in 2008. This gives families additional time to sell their current homes as well as an opportunity to choose their home site, floor plan and options.

Chatham Square is located on 145 acres at Heggs Road and 127th St. in Plainfield. When completed, it will be composed of 238 single family homes and 40-acres of green space including bike paths.
