BG to skate for Save a Star

Buffalo Grove will travel to Highland Park on Sunday for a good cause.

The 7 p.m. game at Centennial Ice Arena against Highland Park will benefit the Save a Star organization.

Save a Star is a drug awareness foundation in memory of Daniel Lee Katz, a former Highland Park hockey player who passed away in June.

The event will include representatives from many area communities and professional sports organizations.

There will also be a silent auction that includes Bulls' and Blackhawks' memorabilia.

The Bison carry some momentum into that game with 2 wins in the last week. First-place BG is 11-2-6 overall and 8-1-3 in the Metro Northwest conference.
