A way to help older people at holidays
Just food for thought.
I have the pleasure of working with the public. I see and talk with many older people struggling to do holiday shopping. Aside from just getting older and it being a little more difficult to get around, they struggle with crowds, traffic, bad weather, finances and trying to pick out gifts for many people.
I want to share how my family handles "shopping" during the holiday season. The older members of our family have been told that they have given a lifetime of gifts and it is their time to just sit back and receive. They love it and it has taken a lot of stress away from the holidays. If they choose to, they bake cookies or buy cookies or bring some kind of treat to the holiday festivities. It has made for a more enjoyable and relaxing time.
