Shamrox pick new offensive coordinator

The Chicago Shamrox have hired Joe Sullivan as the team's offensive coordinator for the 2008 season.

Sullivan, who has over 20 years of lacrosse experience, has coached Minor Lacrosse as well as Major Series Lacrosse in Canada.

"This is a great opportunity for me to help the Shamrox offensive players develop their skills," said Sullivan. "Jamie [Batley] is one of the best coaches in the entire NLL and I turned down a head coaching job just to take this position because I can learn so much from him."

Over the past four years, Sullivan served on Batley's coaching staff at the Peterborough Lakers, which won three national championships in four years in the Major Series Lacrosse League.

The Chicago Shamrox are currently selling season, group and individual tickets. Individual tickets can be purchased by calling the Sears Centre box office at 888-SEARSTIX or online at www.searscentre.com. For season and group tickets, call the Shamrox front office at 877-SHAMROX. The Shamrox take the field for their second season in Chicago on Jan. 5 when they play the Toronto Rock at 7 pp.m. at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.
