Not buying what attorney is selling
Immigration attorney Shirley Sadjadi has railed against several recent letter writers who have expressed concern over the invasion of America by non-assimilating immigrants.
She seems to think these concerned citizens are racists because they object to a significant percentage of the Mexican population rushing our borders and commandeering whole communities.
Sadjadi insists that wasting public tax dollars teaching students in languages other than English is not an indication that there may be illegal aliens in our schools. This is laughable.
There is no requirement to prove legal status before enrolling in our public schools, but I'm supposed to believe that the 10-year-old who doesn't speak English by the fifth grade is a legal citizen of the United States? Sorry, Ms. Sadjadi, I'm not buying it.
Sadjadi reveals in her most recent letter that she moved from her "all-white community to Elgin."
Perhaps there really is an element of racism driving Sadjadi to action. That, or the fact that the immigration attorney business is booming .
