Newborn ape ready for visitors
Reo, the tiny newborn white-cheeked gibbon ape, born Nov. 13, greeted the public for the first time this morning at the Tropic World: Asia exhibit. Reo, which means "fast" in Thai, was born with a light-colored coat that matches his mother's and acts as camouflage. At age 1, his coat will turn black, except for the white on his cheeks.
