An ice storm is set to sweep through Illinois overnight, leaving broken tree limbs, downed power lines and hazardous roads in its wake.

"We are warning it's going to be very treacherous overnight, and it could be a nasty rush-hour tomorrow," Illinois Department of Transportation spokesman Mike Claffey said.
