Why do some force beliefs on others?

Ms. Benedetto, in her reference to the Bible, has brought two thoughts to mind. First, nowhere in Genesis Chapter 9 had God said he condones abortion.

Second, the way she had worded her article reflects that in her mind, all women are good for is just to have children. As a male, I would not want to have this kind of stigma over my head.

Furthermore where is her tolerance of others as taught through the Bible and in church? Why must people want to force their beliefs on others?
