Bowling

Results of the Sun City Bowling League at Brunswick Zone in Algonquin had the Sonics in first place with a 56-14 record as of Nov. 14. Tying for second place with 46-24 were the Suns, Pistons and Heat. The Pacers placed third with 42-28. The Magic took fourth place with 41.5-28.5. In women's high individual scoring, Rose Marie Zakula took high game scratch, 257, high game with handicap, 298, high series scratch, 594 and high series with handicap, 717. High standings for men went to Arthur Alluri with high game scratch, 278, high game with handicap, 308, high series scratch, 628 and high series with handicap, 718.

Cribbage

Pete Moseler scored a perfect 484 to take first place in cribbage Nov. 26. Sue Chiodo placed second with 478. Posting high individual hands were Bill Macomb, 24, Yvonne Petty, 21, Don Baden, Ralph Wehnes, Marge Herschberg, 20 and Jerry Jarvis with two hands of 20. There were three skunks.

Duplicate bridge

Winning duplicate bridge Nov. 26 were Janice Apel and Mary Belcher. Heike and Bill Kingery came in second. Marilyn Bailey and Mary Ann Harju placed third.

Duplicate bridge winners from Nov. 30 were John James and Sue Vitner playing north-south and Mary Lebar and Jeanne Shore for east-west. Also among the top four scorers for north-south were Donna Casavoy and Nancy Riley, second place, Jay Kadakia and Ron Schwarz, third, and Paul Clark and Barb White, fourth. For east-west, Gerry Kaiser and Marie Nugent placed second, Mary Ann Harju and Bill Macomber, third, and Janice Apel and Carol Smith, fourth.

Contract bridge

Harry Leopold and Bob Zimmerman scored 5,880 points to win in contract bridge pairs play Nov. 27. Ann Dugos and Jan Koerner placed second with 4,800. Carol and Bob Peterson scored 4,200 to place third. Janice Apel and Carol Smith came in fourth with 3,890. Mary Belcher and Peggy Rizio were fifth with 3,390.

Scoring 5,530 to place first in contract bridge Nov. 28 was Jan Koerner. Ron Schwarz was second with 4,620. Pat Danna came in third with 4,410. Helen Zeitler took fourth place with 4,390. Liz Hoelterhoff tied with Loren Stuvick at 4,320 for fifth place. Candy Goldfarb came in seventh at 4,150.

Euchre

Scoring 61 points brought first place to Lorraine Bock in euchre Nov. 29. Ken Kertz, Don Glasgow and Harlan Newkirk tied for second with 60 points. Fred Bartlett and Pearl Heaps each scored 58 to tie for third place. Helene Langen came in fourth with 57.

Pinochle

Morning session pinochle Nov. 26 wrapped up with Dan Bressler taking the high score of 653 while DeWayne Klein was low scorer at 411. Marge Adolfson took a double pinochle. Diane McFarlan and Norma Schroepel each played an all-trick hand.

In afternoon play Rose Curylo was high scorer with 654 and Lorraine Williams played the low score of 375. Helen Szybowski took two double pinochles. Rich Christensen, Judy Engeriser, Don Glasgow and Marlene Tresp each had one. Christensen, Kay Sillar, George Venturi and Anita Williams each played an all-trick.

Bridge invitational

Winning the ACBL duplicate bridge invitational Dec. 1 were Mike Elliott and Grace Selby. Caralee and Ron Hopman took second place. Sandy Johnson and Nancy Riley came in third and Heike and Bill Kingery placed fourth.
