John Ford was one of the greatest directors in cinema. He was also an actor, writer and producer. His style and techniques of filmmaking have influenced such great directors as Orson Welles, Martin Scorsese, Akira Kurosawa, Ingmar Bergman, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and many others.
