Un-American to fix immigration issue
The debate over immigration has become one of the more heated topics in today's popular game of politics. The perception of immigration needs to be improved if this country is going to become all that it has played itself up to be.
I have had the privilege of working with documented and undocumented workers, Yes, I did say working "with." Immigrants do not take jobs away from Americans, they merely do the jobs that we have become too lazy and under driven to do.
We also cannot let the actions of a few speak for the rest. Granted, with every immigrant into this country, there is the possibility of him/her having a criminal background, but we cannot let that affect our overall perception of the concept.
This country was carried to civilization on the backs of migrant workers. It would be un-American to try to fix the "immigration issue." Immigrants have always been, are, and always will be the backbone of society. Until we realize this, we will not be living up to the title of greatest nation in the world.
