Cool Globe art hopes to inspire many
The Lake County Forest Preserves recently unveiled a Cool Globe sculpture now on display at the Greenbelt Cultural Center that was donated by Abbott.
Designed by Nancy Pochis Bank and titled "Raise Future Environmentalists," the globe inspires children and their families to interact and bond with nature and enjoy the outdoors together.
This globe was one of 124 sculpted globes, each 5 feet in diameter, displayed this summer along Chicago's lakefront as part of the Cool Globes public art project. The project was designed to create awareness and inspire practical solutions to climate change.
The Greenbelt Cultural Center entrance is off the east side of Green Bay Road, between 10th and 14th streets and south of Belvidere Road near North Chicago and Waukegan.
