Indiana's Gordon injured

D.J. White was on pace for a career best even before high-scoring freshman Eric Gordon was injured. After that, he had no choice but to keep shooting.

White had a career-high 29 points and 13 rebounds in the host No. 15 Hoosiers' 84-72 victory over Tennessee State (2-4) on Monday night.

The Hoosiers (7-1) led early by as many as 19 points, but Gordon left the game with about six minutes left in the first half after he fell hard to the floor, bruising his lower back. He was taken for precautionary X-rays and is expected back for Saturday's game against Kentucky, coach Kelvin Sampson said.

"He'll be fine," Sampson said. "Even if he could have played, I wouldn't have brought him back in. He's been playing a lot of minutes. … We'll get him back."

WIU 71, Texas Pan-American 69: David Jackson scored a game-high 22 points, including the go-ahead jumper with 1:26 remaining, as Western Illinois (3-5) came from behind to beat host Texas-Pan American (5-4).

Brian Burrell's jumper with three minutes left gave Texas-Pan American a 64-59 lead, but Jackson scored 8 points to lead a 10-0 run by WIU over the next two minutes. Josh Rivers came off the bench to score 15 points for WIU, while David DuBois led the team with 9 rebounds.
