Loyola can't stay with Northern Iowa
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Jared Josten scored 13 points and Eric Coleman had seven points and six blocks to lead Northern Iowa past Loyola (Ill.) 61-50 on Saturday night.
Travis Brown added 11 points and Adam Koch had 10 for Northern Iowa (6-1), which finished the game on a 13-2 run and picked up their second straight win.
Loyola (2-4) tied the game at 48 on two Leon Young free throws with 3:36 left. Coleman hit a layup to put the Panthers ahead by four, and Northern Iowa followed with eight straight free throws to seal the win.
The Panthers were 18-of-19 from the free throw line.
Young led all scorers with 16 points. J.R Blount had 13 and Tracy Robinson added 10 for Loyola.
