St. Charles crash victim's condition improves

A 22-year-old man remained hospitalized in good condition Friday, a day after the vehicle he was driving flipped over on Randall Road in St. Charles.

Dane C. Honeyman, of the 400 block of South 10th Street, St. Charles, was taken to Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva after the one-vehicle crash, which took place near Oak Street about 9 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Honeyman was the driver and lone occupant of a 1995 Jeep Cherokee that was northbound on Randall Road when it left the roadway for unknown reasons, struck two trees on the east side of the road and rolled over, coming to rest in a yard at Fox Run Apartments.

Firefighters had to extricate Honeyman from the wreckage.

Police said Friday that while the accident's cause was undetermined, Honeyman was not being charged in the crash.
