Four-vehicle crash shuts down Randall

A four-vehicle crash Friday evening sent at least one person to a hospital.

West Dundee police received a call about a crash on Randall Road between Route 72 and Binnie Road at 6:33 p.m., according to Sgt. Andy Wieteska.

"Apparently one vehicle did not see the traffic in front of him and rear-ended the vehicle in front of him, causing the collisions," Wieteska said.

One of the vehicles caught fire, he said. Hosing it down created ice on the roadway, so police temporarily closed portions of Randall Road, Wieteska said.
