Patriots victories: Stevenson High School earned a 3-0 victory over New Trier Halloween night in Metro North Junior varsity hockey action.

The Patriots led from the start with a goal when defenseman Nick Fasano broke out of his own end and passed to Kollin Fairbanks who lifted the puck over the Trevians' goalie. Stevenson continued to dominate play in the second period and scored 2 more goals in the third period, by Justin One and Tyler St. Martin, resulting in the final 3-0 score. Goalie Mitch Levinson kept New Trier from scoring.

On Nov. 3, after the Patriots fell behind the Loyola Ramblers 1-0 in the first period, forward Marc Weiner achieved his first hat trick. The first of his goals came on two passes from Max Mora and Wayne Glickstern. The second goal was an individual effort. Weiner completed the hat trick in the third period. His performance was complemented by Kollin Fairbanks who scored 2 goals for a 5-2 Stevenson win. The Patriots' record is now 5 wins, no losses and 1 tie in Metro conference play.

In a HIT game against Naperville Central, Stevenson started out slowly. In the first five minutes, Naperville seemed to have the upper hand, but goalie Josh Schmaren kept Naperville from scoring with 2 big saves.

The tide turned with seven minutes left to play in the first period when freshman defenseman Brad Levinson scored unassisted while Stevenson stopped a Naperville power play. The scoring that followed resulted in a 10-1 Patriots victory. It was a team effort, as seven different players scored goals including a hat trick by Ricky Razdolsky and 2 goals by Justin One. The victory extended Stevenson's record to 3 wins and 1 loss in HIT play.

Head coach Nick Meo said he was pleased with the offensive production and improved shot making.
