Ryan deserves no special favors
What a terrific article by Chuck Goudie in the Daily Herald on Oct 29. I especially liked his statement, of George Ryan playing "the grandchildren card." What does he think, or does he even think about Scott and Janet Willis, who have 25 grandchildren and lost six of their own children in the crash of 1994? Does he have any idea of how this tragic event affected such a special family?
Governor Ryan wanted to stay out of prison, wow, and he has the audacity to be sent to a closer location so his family can visit. Do you think he should have special consideration? I would surely like to put this request to a vote from our fine citizens of Illinois.
