County leader right to support hospital
Will County Executive Larry Walsh has written a letter to the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board in strong support of Edward Plainfield Hospital. In it, Walsh makes a compelling case that a new hospital in Plainfield is necessary.
I applaud his stand on this important issue and commend him for working with the residents of northwest Will County in our quest for critically needed access to hospital care.
Mr. Walsh has shown that he realizes the positive impact Edward Plainfield Hospital will have on all of Will County. In the past, I have taken Mr. Walsh to task for his silence on Edward Plainfield Hospital. Having read his well-reasoned and thoughtful letter about the need for and benefits of Edward Plainfield Hospital, I want to publicly thank him for his leadership and support.
I'm looking forward to the day when Mr. Walsh can attend the ribbon cutting and dedication of a new state-of-the-art hospital in Plainfield. He will know then, without a doubt, that he's done the right thing. Again, thank you Mr. Walsh.
