Electrical fire causes $250,000 in damage to Pingree Grove home
An electrical fire in the living room caused an estimated $250,000 in damage to a two-story, single family residence in Pingree Grove about 4 p.m. Saturday.
According to officials of the Pingree Grove and Countryside Fire Department, no one was injured in the blaze.
Don Hinkle, the owner of the home and sole resident at 44W177 Conners Road, was not home at the time, officials said.
The fire was limited to the living room, but there was smoke damage throughout the house. Officials estimated there was an additional $50,000 in damage to the contents of the house.
The Kane County fire investigation task force ruled that the fire was accidental. No other details were available.
