Rediscover Glen Ellyn's downtown

Over the last few years I have made a commitment to spend my Christmas shopping dollars in downtown Glen Ellyn.

My family and friends have enjoyed getting some unique and special gifts they would not have enjoyed if I had gone for the chain store solution or gift certificate approach.

As I start thinking about gifts for our family and friends this holiday season, I am excited about not only revisiting the retailers I frequent throughout the year but discovering some of the new offerings that are available in Glen Ellyn's downtown.

As a board member for Go Downtown! and a 12- year resident of Glen Ellyn, I am excited about what we have to offer and the opportunities for a fun and rewarding shopping experience.

Go Downtown! was formed this year in Glen Ellyn by volunteer residents focused on making a positive change in our community. Our mission is to partner with residents, businesses, and our village to better understand the wants and needs of shoppers to ultimately create a downtown that is a destination for all shoppers in Glen Ellyn and surrounding areas.

Our block captains for Go Downtown! have been researching gift ideas and we found many exciting finds. As a result, we have created a "Rediscover Downtown Glen Ellyn - Holiday Shopping List."
