Authorities find 2-year-old missing from Great Lakes base

Authorities have called off an Amber Alert after a 2-year-old girl was found after they said she was abducted early this morning from the area near Great Lakes Naval Station.

"The little girl has been found and she's safe," Navy Regional Midwest Public Affairs Officer Ken Kronk said shortly before 2 p.m. today.

Kronk has no further details.

Foster was last seen in a black 2000 Ford Explorer SUV with Alabama license plates, police said. Police alleged that her stepfather took the girl around 6:45 a.m.
