Wildcats try to even record against Brown

Brown (1-2) at Northwestern (1-2)

When: 11 a.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena

TV: Big Ten Network Radio: WGN 720-AM

The skinny: Northwestern comes off its highest scoring game in 13 seasons but likely won't find itself nearing triple digits today. Brown, coached by former NU assistant Craig Robinson, also runs the same slowed-down Princeton offense as NU. Last year, NU thumped the Bears 64-40 behind Tim Doyle's 17 points. Brown has dropped consecutive games against Michigan and Rhode Island after opening the season with a 19-point win at Eastern Michigan. NU sophomore Jeff Ryan scored a career-high 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting in Tuesday's win against Benedictine. Junior guard Craig Moore leads NU in rebounding (5.7 rpg) after averaging fewer than 2 boards per game in his first two seasons.
