Talk about signs in Gurnee
Gurnee plan commission and zoning board of appeals members will hold an informal joint working session at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The members are to discuss possible revisions to the village's sign ordinance. The local law dictates the size and location of freestanding and wall signs in Gurnee. While not an official public hearing, those in attendance will be allowed to make public comments from the floor. The session will be in the council chambers at Gurnee village hall, 325 N. Talk about trail system
The village of Lindenhurst and the Lindenhurst Park District will host its first public input open house on a proposed pedestrian trail system from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Community Center Board Room. Village and Park District planning firm Bonestroo will be present to listen and share input. The open house will take place during the annual holiday tree lighting and Santa arrival event.
It's all about owls
Learn all about owls during two Owl Prowl programs offered by the Lake County Forest Preserve District. Owl Prowl is offered from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Dec. 8 at Wright Woods near Lincolnshire and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at Grassy Lake near Lake Barrington. All ages are invited.
