Krog, Shultz, Gherson boost Wolves

Linemates Jason Krog, Jesse Schultz and Brett Sterling each collected 2 points, and goaltender Robert Gherson turned aside 29 of 30 shots as the Chicago Wolves beat the Peoria Rivermen 2-1 on Wednesday night at the Allstate Arena.

Krog and Schultz each scored goals and and added an assist while Sterling posted 2 assists for the Wolves, who have an AHL-best .906 winning percentage through 16 games.

The Wolves' best start in franchise history includes a 6-1-0-0 mark on home ice.

Gherson (3-1-0), making his third straight start, has surrendered 1 or fewer goals in three of his four outings.

"That wasn't our best effort, but the most important thing is that we are finding ways to win," said Sterling. "This is exactly the kind of result we needed coming off of our first regulation loss."
