Overnight winter parking ban begins Dec. 1
It's snow time in Chicago and the city's Department of Transportation is using the change in weather as an opportunity to remind drivers of winter parking restrictions.
Overnight parking bans on key arterial streets begin at three a.m. on December First. Starting that morning, cars parked on posted streets between the hours of three a.m. and seven a.m. will be ticketed or towed -- regardless of whether there's snow on the ground.
The overnight parking restriction runs through April First, 2008.
Parking will also be restricted on designated "Snow Routes" when there are two or more inches of snow on the ground.
