$2 voucher to be donated during holiday light show
During the third annual Wonderland of Lights drive-through holiday light show at Arlington Park Racecourse, Clearbrook will raise money for various charities, schools, churches and other non-profit organizations.
Last year, thousands of cars drove through the 1.6-mile show at Arlington Park Racecourse each week, and thousands more are expected to attend this year's event, which runs today through Jan. 1.
During "Community Days," which will be held Mondays through Thursdays, Clearbrook will donate $2 to its non-profit partners for every car that presents a Wonderland of Lights "Community Voucher."
Vouchers can be picked up through the following organizations: Bartlett Cheerleading Association, Faith Lutheran Church, Gigi's Playhouse, OMNI Youth Services, UPS for DownS, and Voice of the Retarded.
Major event sponsors include Arlington Park Racecourse, Chicago Magazine, The Daily Herald and 101.9 fm THE MIX and Sheraton Chicago Northwest.
Wonderland of Lights is open nightly -- all holidays included -- from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day. A million colorful lights and animated displays, including Twelve Days of Christmas, Reindeer Flight School, Holiday Fairy Tale Lane and Victorian Holidays, will be on display.
The event hours are from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Admission Mondays through Thursdays is $10 per passenger car and Fridays and Saturdays is $12 per passenger car. A $2-off coupon is available at clearbrook.org.
