Work off that turkey dinner on hike in Tekakwitha Woods

Need a remedy for too much feasting during Thanksgiving?

On Friday, go "Over the River and Through the Woods," on a guided hike through Tekakwitha Woods Forest Preserve in St. Charles.

This 90-minute naturalist-led walk will begin at the parking lot, proceed through the woods, cross the Fox River on the bike bridge, and conclude at the Nature Center. The walk starts at 10 a.m.

Fresh air and exercise may be the perfect post-holiday antidote. All ages are welcome at this free Kane County Forest Preserve District event. In the event of rain, the event is canceled. Call (847) 741-8350 for updates.

Tekakwitha Woods is at 35W076 Villa Maria Road, off Route 25, one mile north of Army Trail Road in St. Charles.
