Artist Tom Lynch to give free workshop
Castle Bank will sponsor two complimentary workshops by watercolor artist Tom Lynch in the Huntley High School auditorium on Monday.
The first workshop will be from 9:15 to 10:25 a.m. and is open to the high school students.
The second workshop is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be open to the Sun City Pencil & Palette Club and anyone from the community interested in attending.
Lynch will appear on the stage with a head microphone and a camera above his work that will be shown on a 12-foot by 15-foot screen behind him so visibility will be excellent.
His books, tapes and prints will be available for sale during the second workshop, and an artist signing will be held after 1 p.m.
Proceeds from sales of the prints will be shared by the Huntley High School Fine Arts Booster Club and the Sun City Pencil and Palette Club.
"We are proud to sponsor this special event," said Carole Peters, Castle Bank Huntley manager.
"Tom Lynch's original artwork has previously been on display in our lobby and has quite a following. We are excited for him to share his expertise in watercolor paintings with the Huntley community."
The high school is at 13719 Harmony Road, Huntley. For more information about Castle Bank, visit the Web site www.castlebank.com.
