Moore enough for Wildcats

Craig Moore had 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead host Northwestern to a 95-63 rout over Division III Benedictine on Tuesday night.

Jason Okrzesik had a career-high 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting for the Wildcats (1-2). Freshman Mike Capocci added a career-high 12 points and 6 assists as the Wildcats hit 61 percent of their shots and were 10-for-23 on 3-pointers.

Dan Klecan scored a season-high 22 and hit six 3-point shots for Benedictine (1-2), which never led.

Antonio Brooks had a career-high 13 points off the bench for the Eagles. Jared Bailey added 7 points and a career-best 10 assists.

N. Car. 110. S. Car. St. 64: Tyler Hansbrough scored 26 points and Wayne Ellington added 19 to help No. 1 North Carolina beat visiting South Carolina State.

Danny Green had 15 points for the Tar Heels (3-0), who earned their second straight blowout win in the Las Vegas Invitational.

Everett Spencer scored 12 points to lead the Bulldogs (0-4).

Memphis 84, Ark. St. 63: Willie Kemp scored a career-high 22 points, including six 3-pointers, as host Memphis (5-0) beat Arkansas State.

Adrian Banks led the Indians (0-3) with 32 points.

Tenn. 109, Mid. Tenn. 40: JaJuan Smith scored 26 of his career-high 32 points in the first half as No. 7 Tennessee (4-0) beat visiting Middle Tennessee.

Kevin Kanaskie had 9 points for Middle Tennessee (1-3).

Ind. 95, UNC-Wilm. 71: Eric Gordon scored 30 points, and Armon Bassett added 19 to help No. 8 Indiana (3-0) beat visiting North Carolina-Wilmington.

Todd Hendley scored 20 points for North Carolina-Wilmington (1-2).

Marquette 91, Okla. St. 61: Jerel McNeal had 20 points, and Dominic James added 18 to lead No. 11 Marquette (4-0) past Oklahoma State in the semifinals of the EA Sports Maui Invitational in Lahaina, Hawaii.

Terrel Harris had 17 points for the Cowboys (2-2).

Virginia 72, Drexel 58: Sean Singletary had 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and No. 23 Virginia (4-0) returned home after an impressive trip out West to beat Drexel.

Frank Elegar led Drexel (3-1) with 23 points.

Florida 102, N. Florida 51: Marreese Speights had 20 points and 12 rebounds, Walter Hodge added 14 points and No. 25 Florida (5-0) overwhelmed visiting North Florida (1-4).

WIU 75, EIU 57: David Jackson scored a team-high 14 points, and Nikola Bodic added 13 to help host Western Illinois (2-2) defeat Eastern Illinois.

Romain Martin led Eastern Illinois (1-2) with a game-high 16 points.

Minnesota 68, Iowa St. 58: Spencer Tollackson scored 21 points as Minnesota (2-0) beat host Iowa State to give coach Tubby Smith his first road win at Minnesota.

Craig Brackins led Iowa State (2-2) with 23 points.
