Time to create truth commission

It's time for a South African-style Truth Commission here in our beloved USA. Too many laws have been broken, too many Constitutional provisions have been ignored, too many of our rights have been stripped from us by the Administration and Congress. It is time to call a halt to the erosion of our cherished democracy. All of us need reassurance of accountability under the law, for every citizen from President to pawnbrokers on Main Street.

I suggest a Truth Commission, established by Congress, with authority to act as a grand jury making indictments of all persons who broke laws. All actions relative to the invasion of Iraq, Abu Ghaib prison, Guantanamo detentions, secret CIA camps on foreign soil, surveillance practices, private army operations, corruption in contracts and procurement practices, immunity rulings, to name just a few.
