Marengo, Union team up for Holiday Housewalk

Marengo and Union's 16th annual Holiday Housewalk is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 2.

This juried show features quality items from 50-plus crafters and artists in 22 locations throughout Marengo and Union.

New this year will be a food drive. Bring a donation of non-perishable food or paper product for the Marengo-Union Food Pantry. You can drop off the food off at any stop on the Holiday Housewalk.

The event will have door prizes.

• Zion Lutheran Church will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 1 only at Jackson and East streets, Marengo.

• First Presbyterian Church will hold a Christmas Cookie and Craft Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 only at Ann and West Washington streets, Marengo.

• Emmanuel Baptist Church will hold a Bake Sale with Christmas Crafts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 only at 20503 Telegraph St. (Route 176), Marengo.

• Covenant Baptist Church will sell hot chocolate, cookies, snacks and more on Dec. 1 only at 20911 Ratfield Road, Ma rengo.

Displays include an outstanding variety of handcrafted original holiday decor, soup and bread mixes, florals and home accents, pottery, woodworking, jewelry, folk art and quilted items, decorated antiques, handcrafted candles, and more.

Many new crafters and locations have been added to the list of favorite crafters from the past 15 years.
