Limbaugh triumph over liberal smear
I am writing in response to Mr. Zipperich of Palatine's Oct. 25 letter attacking Rush Limbaugh and somehow claiming he has "finally been held accountable." I find his letter to be humorously ignorant. 'Finally held accountable', as in, the smear letter sent to Limbaugh by 41 Liberal Democrat Senators urging Clear Channel Communications to censor the most popular radio host in America with 20 million listeners?
Mr. Zipperich completely omitted the facts. Mr. Zipperich referred to a line used by Mr. Limbaugh to describe Mr. Jesse MacBeth, when Mr. Limbaugh called him a "phony soldier." For the record, Mr. MacBeth, now known as Adam Al-Zaid, admitted in federal court on Sept. 21 he never served in a combat unit and left the military shortly after basic training. MacBeth gained national notoriety for accusing the military of war crimes in Iraq, claiming to have killed a mother and her three children while acting on an order and slaughtering 200 Muslims. He has pleaded guilty to lying about all of these claims and falsifying his military service. So yes, Mr. MacBeth is a "Phony Soldier" whose story was trumpeted by liberal media outlets in the United States.
The letter sent by Senator Harry Reid to Clear Channel Communications was auctioned off on eBay for $2.1 million in what was eBay's largest charity auction in history. The Marine Corps-Law Enforcement fund received the proceeds from the auction, which Limbaugh matched. The $4.2 million was donated to charity from Rush Limbaugh because the liberal Democrats "held him accountable?" If anyone was held accountable, it was Reid and his liberal accomplices who have so much egg on their faces for sending that ridiculous letter instead of doing our nation's business in the Senate. Rush is more popular than he's ever been because he's intelligent, hilarious and says exactly what is on the tips of at least 20 million people's tongues.
