Glenkirk selling cards that feature client artwork

Glenkirk clients have turned their original artwork into 12 festive holiday cards that are now available for purchase. To see the cards or download an order form, go to Glenkirk's Web site at www.glenkirk.org, and click "Glenkirk 2007 Holiday Cards."

The message inside each 4¼-by-5½-inch card says "Seasons Greetings." Cards are $15 for a box with 12 different card designs, or a volume discount of $12 a box for orders of two or more boxes. Shipping is $2 per box; if buyers pick up the cards from a Glenkirk location there is no shipping charge (indicate location on the order form). In addition to the holiday line, Glenkirk is stocking up on its signature handmade pressed floral cards produced by individuals with developmental disabilities who work in Glenkirk's Moments Remembered Program. Each card, created with an artist's design, is accented with real pressed flower petals. No two cards are alike. Proceeds from both Moments Remembered and the new holiday card line benefit Glenkirk's programs and services.

Glenkirk is a nonprofit organization that was created more than 53 years ago by a group of concerned individuals who recognized a need for services for children with developmental disabilities. Today, Glenkirk helps more than 1,200 clients with disabilities broaden their horizons each year by offering innovative programs and services. People of all ages from more than 70 communities throughout the North and Northwest suburbs of Chicago in Lake and Cook counties participate.
