Hanover Highlands principal leaving

Julie Colgrove, who has been principal of Hanover Highlands School in Hanover Park for a decade, will leave the post next summer. Colgrove will move to Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 headquarters in Schaumburg to helm the bilingual and multicultural department.

Prior to joining Highlands School in 1998, Colgrove was assistant principal at Armstrong School in Hoffman Estates and Aldrin School in Schaumburg. This also marks a return for Colgrove to the bilingual department, where she previously serves as acting program coordinator, bilingual assessment liaison and bilingual teacher.

Colgrove replaces Bilingual Director Barbara Wojtysiak, who is retiring after 14 years in District 54 and 38 years in education. In other staffing news, Michelle LeDeaux, a teacher at Mead Junior High in Elk Grove Village since 2001, has been tapped to take over as assistant principal, effective immediately.

She replaces Chyrel Moore, who officials said decided to return to a teaching position as a gifted education resource teacher.
