Students to interpret Michelangelo's art

Java Bar and the Get Smart with Art Program will co-host a showing of interpretations of Michelangelo's artwork from students in first through fifth grades at Nuebert Elementary School in Algonquin.

The school will choose which pieces of art will be on display at Java Bar, 301 S. Main St., Algonquin. There will be a special showing from 7 to 8 p.m. today. All students, parents and interested parties are welcome.

Java Bar will contribute 10 percent of all sales that evening to the Get Smart with Art Program. The art will remain on display for a month.
