Carpentersville
• A Carpentersville man wanted on a 1999 warrant was arrested late Monday, police said. Antonio Sanchez Sr., 58, of 1809 Endicott Circle, was charged on the warrant with a violation of an order of protection, police said. Sanchez was taken to the Kane County jail with a $500 bond and a Nov. 15 court date in St. Charles.
Elgin
• More than two pounds of marijuana in small plastic bags was found in an apartment Monday, police said. Ronald L. Mitchell, 58, of 22 Daniels Ave. #4, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana, police said. Mitchell was convicted of murder in 1974, according to the Kane County state's attorney's office. Mitchell was held in the Kane County jail on $5,500 bond with a Nov. 29 court date.
• A man who shouted throughout his bond hearing Tuesday was assigned 60 extra days in jail for his outbursts. Jose Castillo, age unknown, who said his address was 777 Fabyan Parkway in Geneva (the address of the Kane County Adult Correction Center), was charged with failure to register as a sex offender. Castillo was taken to the Kane County jail with a $10,000 bond and a Nov. 29 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• A man was arrested at 4 a.m. Monday at the Grand Victoria Casino for using his roommate's credit and identification cards, police said. David E. Witt, 52, of 850 Congdon Ave. #16, Elgin, was charged with unlawful use of a credit card and unlawful use of an identification card, police said. Witt was held in the Kane County jail on $500 bond with a Nov. 29 court date in the Kane County Judicial Center.
• Two officers suffered minor injuries when they tried to handcuff a man at 6:45 p.m. Monday, police said. Gabriel Guevara-Villagomez, 30, of 53 S. Clifton Ave., Elgin, was charged with two counts of aggravated resisting a police officer and two counts of domestic battery, police said. Guevara-Villagomez posted a $600 bond and was given a Nov. 29 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• A Hanover Park woman was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Monday for using a false name, police said. Maricela H. Sotello, 29, of 6911 Highland Ave., was charged with obstruction of justice and was cited for driving while license suspended, no rear registration light and no insurance, police said. She also was wanted on warrants from Cook County for driving while license suspended and from DuPage County for retail theft, police said. Sotello was held in the Kane County jail on $1,500 bond with a Nov. 29 court date in St. Charles.
• A yellow 2001 skid steer, a small front-loader valued at $10,000, was stolen between noon on Saturday and 10:45 a.m. Monday from the 1700 block of State Street.
• Burglars stole an air compressor, a blower, a concrete saw, a generator, a tamper, a laser transit, 18 miscellaneous shovels, two levels and miscellaneous tools together valued at $7,300 between 3 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Monday. from a trailer near Shales Parkway and East Chicago Street.
• The front passenger-side window of a gray 1997 BMW parked on the 1500 block of Easy Street was shattered and the vehicle was burglarized between 9 p.m. Sunday and 5:30 a.m. Monday. A stereo, a camera bag with a camera a lap top computer valued at $3,320 were stolen.

• Thirteen vehicles in a lot at Tom Peck Ford, 13900 Auto Mall Drive, were reported keyed Saturday.
South Elgin
• An Elgin woman was accused of using a false name at 10:15 p.m. Monday at Patrick and Middle streets, police said. Colleen S. Carrigan, 47, of 17 Geneva St. #5, was charged with obstruction of justice, police said. Carrigan was held in the Kane County jail on $1,500 bond with a Nov. 29 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• An Elgin man wanted on two warrants was arrested at 3 p.m. Monday at 1400 Timber Lane, police said. Michael R. Gall, 44, of 1281 Longford Circle, was charged on the Elgin and Kane County warrants with failure to appear in court for driving while license revoked, police said. Gall was held in the Kane County jail on the no-bond Elgin warrant.
West Dundee
• A Carpentersville woman was accused of shoplifting Tuesday at Sears in Spring Hill Mall, police said. Maria De La Torre, 40, of 519 Tyler Drive, was charged with felony retail theft after she took sterling silver jewelry valued at $230.14, police said. She posted a $500 bond and was given a Nov. 29 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
