Kane County Chapter of Illinois Audubon Society invites the public to its meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Peck Farm at Peck Road. and Kaneville Road, about one mile west of Randall Road. in Geneva. The Valley Human Resources Association will meet at 7 a.m. Nov. 14 at the Fox Valley Country Club, 2500 N. Route 25, North Aurora. Breakfast is at 7:30 a.m. and the program is at 8 a.m.

Pamela R. Huck will present "OSHA Tips that Pay Out Big for Illinois Industry" and Tom Hennessy will present "Disputed Worker Compensation Claims: What it Takes to Win."

Created by Waubonsee Community College and the Aurora Public Library, the Aurora Area Job Club helps people manage their careers and find meaningful employment.

Upcoming sessions include: Nov. 29 - Should I Use Staffing Agencies, Recruiters and Head Hunters?; Dec. 13 - Staying Upbeat During the Job Search; Jan. 10 - Being Your Own Boss: Is Self-Employment Right for Me?; Jan. 28 - Stories from the Trenches - A Job Seeker Shares his Success Story.

Each meeting includes a strategy session or a guest speaker, followed by a Networking Breakout Session and refreshments. Guest speakers, including local employers, will give updates on business trends and what employers are looking for in candidates.

The meetings are held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the downtown Aurora Public Library, 1 E. Benton Street.

A Gala Christmas Dinner Dance with the St. Charles Singles Club is from 6:30 to midnight Dec. 14 at Fox Valley Country Club on Route 25 in North Aurora. Hors d'oeuvres and cash bar followed by a buffet dinner and dancing with raffle prizes and live music by "Incognitos" Formal to semi formal attire.

St. Charles Singles Club Ltd. Is a social non profit group that welcomes those 30 and older to dances at Riverside Receptions, 35 N. River Lane, Geneva, on the second, fourth and fifth Mondays of each month from 7 to 11 p.m.
