Retiree group to meet at Elgin Legion

Chapter 2181 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees will meet at 1 p.m. today at the American Legion meeting room, 820 N. Liberty St. (Route 25) in Elgin.

Lunch is available in the lunch room prior to the meeting. This month, Laura Gielow from Heritage Manor on 355 Raymond St. in Elgin will speak about nursing services, physical, occupational and speech therapy, respite stays, full activity programs, hospice care and social services for residents and family.

Coffee and desserts will be served after the meeting. Active and retired federal employees, spouses and widowed spouses from all surrounding areas who are interested in becoming a member and also receiving the monthly NARFE Retirement Life magazine are welcome to attend the meeting.
