Home-school programs: Graue Mill and Museum is offering three new programs for home-schooled students.

• Children can take an imaginary journey along the Underground Railroad through Illinois to Graue Mill and, eventually, to Chicago.

• Exploring Museum Artifacts will help children see objects in their historical context. This two-session program also allows students to write their thoughts and share them with the class.

• Farming Then and Now -- From Planting to Harvest was developed in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension-DuPage.

Students will learn how farming has changed over the years. They'll also be able to explore Graue Mill's Heritage Garden to compare common grains such as corn and wheat.

These programs meet monthly through September. For details or to register, call (630) 920-9720.
