Limbaugh is strong backer of military

In reference to William Zipperich's recent letter regarding Rush Limbaugh and the "phony soldiers" controversy, Mr. Zipperich should have further verified his information.

Limbaugh is and always has been a strong supporter of our military and has never referred to an honorably serving member or former member of the U.S. military as a phony soldier. His comment referred to those who misrepresent their service or claim military service where none exists. The left wing organization responsible for misconstruing Rush's statement has been extremely critical of conservative views and makes repeated attempts to smear conservative talk show hosts, commentators, columnists, and authors, etc. They have been discredited in the past for their erroneous statements, just like they have been this time.

I suppose some organizations run under the assumption that if you throw enough cow pies at the side of a barn, eventually some of them will stick -- but this tactic doesn't seem to be working. Those of us who are true listeners and supporters of Rush Limbaugh know the truth.

Maybe Mr. Zipperich should take his own advice and listen to Rush more often -- he might learn something.
