Classical guitarist at Bartlett Library
Enjoy an afternoon of free music courtesy of Peter Fletcher, a classical guitarist who recently performed at Carnegie Hall. Fletcher will perform a variety of selections at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bartlett Public Library. Expect to hear selections from a variety of composers including Vincenzo Galilei and Eric Satie. Shoot a basket, win a turkey
The Hanover Park Park District's annual Turkey Shoot will be held Saturday at the Hanover Park Park District Community Center Gym. Registration begins at 2, and the competition at 2:30 p.m.
Teams are made up of one adult and at least one child, and competition will be grouped by the youngest child's age. Each team will shoot 10 basketball free throws, and the team with the most combined points in each category will bring home a turkey.

Talks about online safety at Harper
Harper College will hold two free programs designed to help people stay safe on social networking sites, such as MySpace, Facebook and Internet chat rooms.
"How to Protect Yourself Online: From Free Speech to Facebook," with C.L. Lindsay, discusses how MySpace or Facebook pages can come back to haunt you. It's at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Room E107, Building E, and at 7 p.m. in the Building J Theatre.
"Protecting the People We Love from Online Predators," will discuss the exploitation of children via the Internet at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Room A238, Building A and at 7 p.m. in Building J. Tickets are required. Call (847) 925-6100 or visit harpercollege.edu
Conant variety show scheduled
