Long Grove holiday events
Holiday festivities begin Saturday in Long Grove Historic Village. Carolers will stroll the downtown area throughout the afternoon, and the tree lighting will take place at 4 p.m. in Apple Haus Square.
Long Grove has a full schedule of family-friendly activities planned for the holiday season, including horse-drawn carriage rides, visits with Santa, live reindeer, live entertainment, and the Chimes of Long Grove. Admission and parking are free.
Scheduled events and attractions include:
• Live entertainment and carolers from noon to 5 p.m. and the holiday tree lighting at 4 p.m. Saturday.
• Carriage Rides from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 25, and Dec. 2, 9 and 16. $ 5 per person.
• On-going entertainment and carolers throughout the weekends until Christmas
• Santa sightings and visits with Santa on weekends.
• Live Reindeer from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 25 and Dec. 2
• Walk Long Grove's signature covered bridge anytime.
• Chimes of Long Grove: Outdoor chimes at each of Long Grove's shops will add to the ambiance of the holiday season.
