St. Charles man accused in attack on co-worker
Police have arrested a St. Charles man accused in the Aug. 30 assault of a co-worker at Jiffy Lube.
Daniel M. Jackson, 20, of 42W918 Jens Jensen Lane was taken into custody by St. Charles police about 6 a.m. Wednesday at the DuPage County Jail, where he was being held on an aggravated battery warrant, according to a police report.
Jackson is accused of breaking the jaw of a 19-year-old man and knocking out some of his teeth while the two worked at Jiffy Lube, 1970 Lincoln Hwy.
The alleged victim's family had asked the public for help tracking down Jackson, who fled the area after police issued a warrant for his arrest.
On Friday, Jackson remained locked up in the Kane County jail in lieu of $75,000 bond, according to the jail Web site.
Jackson previously told the Daily Herald he punched his co-worker in self-defense and is "not going down for this."
His next court date is Wednesday.
