District 158 asks veterans to join in recognition program

District 158 is honoring local veterans with a Veterans Day recognition program at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the Huntley High School Performing Arts Center, 13719 Harmony Road. Enter through door No. 24.

Guests are invited to arrive at 8:30 a.m. for a continental breakfast and to register their name and branch of the military they served in, before being seated on stage.

The program will last about an hour. All veterans in the community and their spouses are invited.

The junior class of Huntley High School will be listening as guest speakers share their personal stories. This presentation will provide students an opportunity to develop a greater appreciation for the service veterans have given and continue to give.
