White's TD lifts W. Virginia
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Pat White scored on a 50-yard run with 1:36 remaining to lift No. 6 West Virginia to a 38-31 victory over Louisville on Thursday night.
Brian Brohm brought Louisville from 17 points down in the second half, with the Cardinals (5-5, 2-3) tying it on Art Carmody's 37-yard field goal with 3:05 left. White, who had threw TD passes, then capped a 65-yard drive with his scoring run up the left sideline.
The win allowed West Virginia (8-1, 3-1 Big East) to remain on Connecticut's heels for a berth in the Bowl Championship Series with three games left, including a key matchup next week at Cincinnati.
Brohm completed 27 of 46 passes for 345 yards, but he was intercepted twice and sacked four times.
