• She has been on the job since July.
• What do you think is an unique aspect of your school? "The family atmosphere. It seems that everyone works in unison, from the staff members to the parents to the students. We're all just working together to help the students achieve beyond their potential."
• If all school enrollments were determined by choice, what would you say to potential parents to convince them to choose Mechanics Grove for their children? "I think we offer an opportunity for students to come into our building, to join our team, and (get) a world-class education. … We really take care of the child."
• How has technology changed the way students learn over the past five years? Has that been a good change? "Both Mechanics Grove School and District 75 as a whole use technology very well, especially in the area of assessment, so the teachers can specifically plan instruction based on each student's needs."
• If you can get one thing accomplished between now and the end of May in your school, what would it be? "Just continue to build a positive school environment and continue the work that's already been done."
