Briefs: Boise unveils new recycled paper line

Village Center set to celebrate launch

BURR RIDGE -- Opus North Corp. will celebrate the grand opening of the Burr Ridge Village Center at 10 a.m. Saturday. Built on 20 acres at the intersection of County Line Road and Interstate 55, the center offers the components of a true lifestyle/mixed-use development. Specialty retail and restaurants at the center include Acorn, Ann Taylor, Kohler Waters Spa and Topaz Restaurant and Clark's Shoes.

Revenue for the third quarter rose 15 percent to $56.8 million from $49.3 million in the third quarter of 2006 due to a 63 percent increase in revenue from off-shore operations and higher domestic revenue.

CHICAGO -- General Growth Properties Inc. announced the grand openings of shopping centers in Brazil and Turkey. Locally, the company operates malls including Northbrook Court, Oakbrook Center, Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee, Golf Mill in Niles and Water Tower Place in Chicago.

Ribbon to be cut at auto dealership

CRYSTAL LAKE -- Pauly Toyota is planning a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. today to celebrate the opening of a state-of-the-art facility at 1035 S. Route 31 in Crystal Lake. Owner Mike Pauly said he is offering grand opening prices on all Toyota models.

Caterpillar acquires a division of Blount

PEORIA -- Caterpillar Inc. and Blount International, Inc. announced that Caterpillar is acquiring the assets of Blount's Forestry Division. Under the agreement, Caterpillar will acquire two Blount manufacturing facilities -- a sales office and a service parts warehouse and product support operation in North America as well as an assembly operation in Sweden. These operations will join Caterpillar's global facilities that produce and support forestry equipment. Since 2003, Caterpillar and Blount have had an agreement to jointly produce and market products globally under the Caterpillar and former Timberking brands. In a separate transaction, six Caterpillar dealers have agreed in principle to acquire certain assets of Pioneer Machinery Inc., a premier distributor of forestry products in the southeastern United States.
