Algonquin

• A Carpentersville teen was arrested at 1:45 a.m. Saturday at Route 31 and Hayes Street, police said. Mallory Masciola, 18, of 3280 Oak Knoll Road, was charged with speeding, no proof of insurance and consumption of alcohol by a minor, police said. She posted her driver's license and was given a Nov. 3 court date in Woodstock.

• A Crystal Lake man was accused of drunken driving at 4 a.m. Sunday at Randall Road and Corporate Parkway, police said. Matthew Stewart, 27, of 1405 Fountain Green, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol concentration level of 0.08 percent or more and speeding, police said. Stewart posted $100 bail and his driver's license and was given a Dec. 5 court date in Woodstock.

Carpentersville

• Two teens were arrested at 7:30 p.m. Sunday and accused of stealing $60 from a 15-year-old girl, police said. Darrell D. Seaverson, 19, of 222 Locust St., Elgin and Joshua C. Hampton, 19, of 6140 S. Marshfield Ave., Chicago, were each charged with felony robbery, police said. Seaverson and Hampton were held in the Kane County jail on bonds of $5,000 and $3,500 with Nov. 29 court dates at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Elgin

• Two men were arrested during a drug raid at 1:15 a.m. Sunday at 134 Hinsdell Place, police said. Jordan M. Davidson of 134 Hinsdell Place, first floor, and Keyon Carraway, 26, of 1415 Plainview Road, Carpentersville, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, police said. Police said they recovered 48 plastic bags containing 18.1 grams of rock cocaine. Davidson's bond was set at $15,000 and Carraway's at $20,000. Neither man was able to post bond and both were taken to the Kane County jail. Both have court dates on Nov. 29 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• After the Elgin Mall was closed at 8 p.m. Friday, a man was seen running from the business at 308 S. McLean Blvd., police said. He was caught with three stolen wristwatches and a 2-foot wrench, police said. Leonel Gomez Jr., 20, of 1643 Mulberry Court, Unit 13, Elgin, was charged with felony burglary, police said. He was unable to post a $7,000 bond and was taken to the Kane County jail. His next court date is on Nov. 29 at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• A pocket knife was taken away from an 11-year-old student at Coleman Elementary School, 1220 Dundee Ave., Elgin, at noon Friday by the school's principal. According to a report, the student was later released to his parents.

Huntley

• Drug-sniffing dogs Friday were brought into Huntley High School and police said the dogs gave indications at three lockers that there might be drugs or drug residue inside. Police made two arrests. Kyle Wightman, 17, of 10710 Pebble Drive, Huntley, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. Lindsey D. Spatafora, 17, of 4 Wright Drive, Lake in the Hills, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Wightman and Spatafora were released on recognition with Dec. 6 court dates in Woodstock.

South Elgin

• A 1998 Cadillac DeVille was stopped Monday on northbound McLean Boulevard at North Lancaster Circle for having only one operating headlight, police said. Cornell E. Brown, 37, of 7N848 McLean Blvd., South Elgin, was cited for no valid driver's license, no insurance, improper use of registration and only one headlamp, police said. He also was wanted in Will County, Streamwood and Naperville, police said. Brown posted $1,000 on the three warrants and was released on the South Elgin citations on his signature. He is scheduled to appear in Elgin branch court on Dec. 3 on the South Elgin citations.

West Dundee

• Police arrested two men at 1:30 a.m. Sunday who were accused of burning at least 11 seasonal business banners valued at $550. A police officer on patrol saw the two men take out a cigarette lighter and burn a banner on Lincoln Avenue. The vandalism has been occurring since Oct. 7, police said. Jeffrey Ottersen, 27 and Jeremy J. Rosenfeld, 30, both of 200 S. Lincoln Ave. in Carpentersville, were charged with criminal damage to state-supported property, police said. Bail was set at $1,000 for both and both remain in the Kane County jail. Ottersen and Rosenfeld have court dates on Nov. 16 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
